20/03: "Where Am I Now?"

I have been playing around a little with the GPS receiver in my Nokia N96 and wanted to see if it is possible to track me down. I came across several websites that allow their members to find friends using the GPS receiver in their mobile phones.

I think blinn YourLIVE! is doing a great job at that. I signed up for a free account and from now on I am trackable! (if I allow their mobile application to send GPS data, of course ;-)). So, if you want to see my current or last location, just click on the "Where Am I Now?" link in the sidebar on the right.

Update: it seems like this feature doesn't work in Internet Explorer at the moment. I tested it in Firefox and it works, they are probably working on it. If you don't have Firefox and want to see this feature, please check back later.

09/03: My new mobile!

My subscription with my mobile provider is about to end soon, so I got the opportunity to choose a new gift in order to extend the subscription. After more than 3 years of using the same mobile, I decided to go for a new one. I spent a lot of time selecting the right mobile phone and eventually I chose the Nokia N96. I got it last Thursday and played with it a bit during the weekend. I think it is a great mobile!

The integrated GPS receiver and TV tuner make this mobile one of the best and most wanted mobiles out there. Additionally, it can connect to the Internet through WiFi and 3G, it has a huge internal memory (16 GB) and it has a splendid layout (dual slide) for playing music and videos. I haven't been disappointed so far. However, one of the best features of the Nokia N95, the integrated client for making Internet calls (through SIP), is not included in the Nokia N96. That really annoys me, but it is not the end of the world, because there are more than enough third party clients for making Internet calls like Fring and Nimbuzz. I currently have the latter one installed on mine.

I think I'm going to spend some time downloading my favorite music and videos, obviously for transferring to my new mobile. ;-)

28/02: Here we go again

After more than 18 months, I decided to catch up with my online life. To start with, I brought this blog back to life and I reactivated/updated my profile on many online community websites, like Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.

On my YouTube profile, you can see that I'm currently into Lady GaGa's music. I'm also still a Shakira fan but unfortunately it has been pretty quiet around her nowadays.

For now, check out my profiles and I hope to catch you back here soon!
